Bruce Lipton, a world famous doctor, educator and writer is often quoted by his fans as an icon of self-help and physical fitness. Born in 1906, Bruce Lipton obtained his medical degree from Harvard University and worked for the U.S. Public Health Service for over twenty years. Instead, he believesour unconscious mind provides the critical information that guides and directs our behavior. And although this part of our mind is much more difficult to influence than logic and reflection, it is also more resistant to negative manipulation. It follows that we can change undesirable behavior patterns far more easily and efficiently than we can with logic and rational thinking alone.

Intuition comes into play because it helps us connect what we already know to our subconscious mind, which in turn helps us make connections into the subconscious mind. Because mindful information tends to limit our intuitive abilities, consciously processing too much info at once can have a severe inhibitory effect.
